3030

Editorial

People fascinate me. They fascinate me in all shorts of different ways. They fascinate me with their peculiarities, they fascinate me with their tediousness, they can be awkward and an absolute pain but also they can say the funniest, cleverest, most creative things that have ever even crossed your mind. These moments of course are rare and far and few between the normal ones, the ones that go unnoticed, but some times, someone says something that can be so profound that can be just like this little pearl of genius and I don’t know about you but personally I just get astounded and I’m sure my eyes brighten up as I think “wow” and something inside me rattles.

It can be anything. It can be just a gesture or just a smile when you least expect it. It can be a look that someone gives you when “they know what you mean” kind of thing.  But mostly it’s just little phrases here and there. Sometimes it’s a belief that is so opposite to yours but at the same time so well expressed. Or something so outrageous that you can’t help but think “how on earth did someone come up with that?”.  And people can also be caring and willing to get involved and be supportive, and believe me when I say that if it wasn’t for that, the first issue of 3030 would never have come out.

And this is the best way for me to explain that this is what 3030 is all about. It is about people writing in, expressing their opinions, saying their crazy thoughts, writing something critical or something touching or something that they feel strongly about. Because people deep down love to hear what other people have to say. Sometimes they find it hard to approach each other in real life but really everyone loves the interaction; I do believe that. And really all the social networks have not become phenomena for no reason.

So I hope you enjoy reading 3030 and feel compelled to write in. About anything you like. Base it on something that you may read in this issue, or something that inspires you, something that you thought was rubbish or something you would like to see in the next issue. Any ideas you have for any columns. Nothing is set in stone. If you feel you know someone who is worth being known by more people, this is what 3030 is here for, to provide an outlet for these kinds of things.

We cannot promise that everything will be published but we can guarantee 100% that everything will be read and considered and everyone will get a response. So we really look forward to hearing from you and we look forward to putting together the second issue and publishing you.

All my love
